Practical Nursing Instructor: Classroom and/or Clinicals - Adult Workforce Development. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Part-time faculty to provide instruction in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings for adult practical nursing program; expertise in areas such as medical-surgical, pediatrics, maternity, and mental health nursing is a plus. Responsibilities include delivering instruction, developing lesson plans, conducting student evaluations, and maintaining records. REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of an approved RN education program; at least two years’ experience as an RN; specialty experience a plus; functional abilities for classroom/clinical/lab teaching; excellent communication and teaching skills; BSN preferred (ADN/RN diploma with experience encouraged); current, valid Ohio RN license. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Align instruction with objectives; collaborate with faculty/committees; maintain academic standards; plan and deliver clinical experiences; supervise and evaluate students; develop teaching outlines/materials; adapt methods to student needs; maintain currency in nursing practice/education; additional duties as assigned; regular and reliable attendance. EXPERIENCE: RN 2 years (required). LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Current, unencumbered Ohio RN license required. LOCATION: Health Professions Academy at Scarlet Oaks Career Campus.
