Practical Nursing Instructor: Classroom and/or Clinicals - Adult Workforce DevelopmentGENERAL DESCRIPTION:Great Oaks Career Campuses' Health Professions Academy is seeking dedicated part-time faculty members to provide instruction in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings for their adult practical nursing program. The ideal candidates will possess a strong commitment to nursing education, demonstrate expertise in their specialty area, and be passionate about fostering student success and professional growth. While expertise in areas such as medical-surgical, pediatrics, maternity, and mental health nursing is highly desirable, it is not required.Primary responsibilities include:- Delivering engaging and effective instruction in lab, clinical rotations, and classroom- Developing and preparing high-quality lesson plans aligned with curriculum and objectives- Conducting comprehensive student evaluations- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date student recordsREQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:- Completion of an approved registered nursing program- At least two years' RN experience- Two years' experience in specialty areas (medical-surgical, pediatrics, maternity, or mental health) a plus- Functional abilities for classroom/clinical/lab teaching- Excellent written/oral communication, analytical, teaching and classroom management skills- BSN preferred; ADN or RN diploma with relevant experience encouraged to apply- Current, valid Ohio RN licenseESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include classroom alignment to objectives, teamwork with faculty, maintaining academic standards, using course materials effectively, planning and conducting clinical instruction, communicating clinical objectives, supervising students in clinical settings, evaluating student achievement, assisting with program philosophy/objectives, developing teaching materials, adapting methods, contributing to meetings/committees, maintaining currency in nursing practice/education, functioning under faculty direction, informing students of progress, communicating with administration, and other duties as assigned. Regular and reliable attendance.EXPERIENCE: RN 2 years (Required).
