About the Role

Allied Health Scientific and Technical workforces are a broad and diverse clinical workforce group that present exciting opportunities for workforce development across the whole health system. The Workforce Lead Allied Health Scientific and Technical (AHST) is critical to ensure that we deliver Health New Zealand's workforce goals and develop an interdisciplinary approach. The workforce lead is responsible for leading the development and delivery of the work programme(s) aligned with the Health Workforce Plan and wider workforce activity that support workforce pipeline development. This includes working across programmes taking an interprofessional approach to workforce development. The role works closely with the clinical leads to achieve outcomes.

About you

You're an experienced professional with a strong track record in leading initiatives from conception through to successful delivery, particularly those involving change and service improvement. You bring a thoughtful and solutions-focused approach, underpinned by over five years' experience managing complex programmes or projects.

You're confident engaging with clinicians, senior leaders and stakeholders across all levels, building trusted relationships that support collaboration and results. With sound knowledge of the New Zealand health sector, you understand the challenges and opportunities within large, evolving organisations and can translate this insight into meaningful outcomes.
