Director of Economic DevelopmentDutchess County, New York | $117,357-$143,844Dutchess County is seeking an experienced economic development professional to help shape the next chapter of its economic future. Working closely with the County Executive and Commissioner of Planning & Development, the Director will establish a shared strategy that supports business growth and retention, advances development opportunities, and brings greater focus to the County's economic development efforts.A key early priority will be building alignment among the County's established economic development organizations, clarifying priorities and respective roles. The Director will chair the Economic Development Advisory Committee and advise County leadership on economic development policy, organizational strategy, and emerging opportunities.The successful candidate will be a strategic, practical, and influential leader who can navigate competing interests and move opportunities toward implementation.
