Job Title: Executive Director

The Executive Director (ED) serves as the chief executive officer of CIRSI and is responsible for the organization's strategic, financial, and operational leadership. The ED works closely with the Board of Directors, staff, individuals served, families, and community partners to advance CIRSI’s mission and ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services.
List of Job Duties:
Leadership & Strategy
- Provide visionary leadership that aligns with CIRSI’s mission, values, and long-term goals.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and execute strategic plans.
- Promote a culture of respect, inclusivity, and empowerment for staff and individuals served.
Program & Service Oversight
- Ensure programs meet the individualized needs of children and adults with intellectual or mental health disabilities.
- Oversee quality assurance, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champion innovative practices that promote independence and community integration.
Financial Management
- Develop and manage the organization’s budget in collaboration with the Board and finance staff.
- Ensure sound financial practices, sustainability, and accountability.
- Pursue funding opportunities, grants, and partnerships to support CIRSI’s mission.
Community Engagement & Advocacy
- Act as the primary spokesperson and ambassador for CIRSI.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, funders, government agencies, and advocacy groups.
- Advocate for policies and initiatives that support individuals with disabilities and mental health needs.
Organizational Development
- Recruit, mentor, and support a strong leadership team and staff.
- Foster professional growth, diversity, and equity within the organization.
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and productive workplace environment.
Required Experience and/or Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, nonprofit management, business administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit, social services, healthcare, or disability services. Experience with HCBS preferred.
- Proven track record in financial management, fundraising, and organizational growth.
- Strong communication, advocacy, and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to person-centered care and the values of dignity, independence, and community inclusion.
