Position Overview:

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce seeks a client-service-driven leader to join the Chamber’s internal partnership agency and oversee the day-to-day management of our corporate relationships. This includes event sponsorships and brand activations, custom thought leadership programs, custom content campaigns, and speaking opportunities. The Executive Director will oversee deliverables, develop and design partnership recap materials, and engage with partners to ensure program success, expansion, and renewal in close coordination with the Chamber’s business development team. The ideal candidate will be a creative, results-driven problem solver and project leader who is comfortable managing the full cycle of partnership operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small, talented team and oversee the management and execution of all partnerships for the group, extending beyond owned relationships to ensure that contractual obligations are met and challenges are addressed appropriately.
  • Serve as partner strategist and manager for all assigned partnerships, coordinating internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • Work collaboratively with events, editorial, digital, and communications colleagues on the full life cycle of partnership content elements; ensure that partnership assets are executed smoothly, deliver against campaign objectives, and align the relevant internal stakeholders around the opportunity and business impact.
  • Manage KPIs for each partner to measure success, demonstrate value, chart progress against strategic goals, and exceed the partner’s expectations.
  • Work closely with the business development team to create and implement integrated and strategic revenue plans to grow existing accounts, as well as negotiate new opportunities and renewals with existing partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 12 + years of experience in a high-level account management or project management role; media, agency, or events experience is a plus.
  • Experience in developing and managing custom programs, events, and marketing campaigns, as well as sponsorships and brand activations.
  • A big picture thinker with the ability to understand the high-level opportunity and put the puzzle pieces together while getting into the weeds of partner management and execution.
  • Relentless dedication to outstanding client service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to navigate challenging conversations with grace and diplomacy and experience in leading meetings/negotiations with C-suite executives.
  • Desire to work collaboratively within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to effectively guide and inspire teams, make strategic decisions, and drive results through collaborative efforts.
  • Experience using CRM, such as Salesforce; proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; and experience with InDesign and/or other creative platforms.
